hyperframes cloud render now takes projects whose media is far larger than the project upload limit. Multi-worker mp4 renders start encoding while they capture, Lambda chunks run more capture browsers at once, and a heavy project's preview builds faster. Transparent webm keeps its transparency in Studio previews, and a color grade applies to an image that appears after its scene starts hidden.

Changes

  • Versions bumped to 0.8.184 across the 14 published packages and 5 plugin manifests (release:prepare 0.8.184 --from v0.8.183 --no-tag; the release workflow tags on merge).
  • releases/v0.8.184.md: 11 PRs, every one merged since v0.8.183. Checked against git log v0.8.183..main: none missing.
  • docs/changelog.mdx: the matching v0.8.184 entry. feat(core): capture motion blur pose, discovery and compositor #5875 is listed under Internal because nothing calls its motion blur modules yet.

No visible change

Version bump and changelog only; each change was captured in its own PR.

Reviewed release head a41b5eb985182689a6ced3ca7bc9f1532caf73ed. No new release blocker found.

Audited: the one release commit is a direct child of current main b306438e. Its 21 changed paths contain only 14 public package versions, five plugin versions and two changelogs. All 19 manifests are 0.8.184; internal dependencies remain workspace references. The unchanged Bun lock contains older workspace version metadata, not missed numeric internal dependency pins. Both notes link exactly the 11 merged commits in v0.8.183..b306438e, with no missing/extra PR; #5875 correctly remains Internal. Every included PR (#6012, #5875, #6023, #6022, #5893, #6024, #5954, #6026, #6025, #5952, #5931) has an approval whose commit matches its final head. There are no existing reviews on this release PR.

Independent release-head risk passes:

  • Upload: traced staging, rewriting/trimming, cache and init/PUT/complete. Local HTTP execution of the actual upload implementation sent exact 5 MiB+7 bytes with Content-Length and no credential on the presigned PUT; HTTP 403 never completed the upload. This partitions media into assets, not multipart: per-file caps remain 200 MiB for video/images and 1.5 GB for audio, plus the ZIP cap. Per-machine cache/public URLs are explicit owner decisions. Dynamic-path/timing detection remains heuristic: fragmented stems/property names can evade retention/exclusion, as #5931 already discloses; this audit does not promise arbitrary JavaScript equivalence.
  • Overlap: real FFmpeg controls passed seven scenarios (11 tests/assertions), including out-of-order indexed feeding, lost callback recovery, waiting cancellation, spare-core gating, corrupt-input serial fallback and 30000/1001 FPS; parity controls matched serial output hashes. Narrow package export facades avoided unrelated barrels; encoder/process/filesystem implementations ran. Final audio mixing/mux remains after video encoding. No fresh Chromium+A/V end-to-end render.
  • Lambda: both protocol handlers supply the runtime budget; extracted sizing passed 210 combinations. CPU and memory caps, 20-frame minimum, existing adaptive retry/browser cleanup and 900-second default remain. At 10,240 MB, five 2,048 MB envelopes consume the nominal budget; actual headroom depends on lower real browser peaks. The author's 3+3 AWS runs support the change qualitatively, but provide no numeric peak-memory artifact. This is acceptance of the bounded sizing/retry design and reported runs, not certification against OOM/timeouts. renderChunk.ts:873,1086 still reports initial workers after adaptive fallback; the new logs inherit that limitation.

Trusting / limits: other included implementation changes rely on their final-head reviews and prior evidence; this is not a fresh complete review of all eleven implementation diffs. No paid cloud/AWS call, full local build or independent heavy-project benchmark. Release-channel validation executed successfully. publish.yml:37 checks out the immutable merge SHA; publication occurs after merge, with no separate premerge publish dry-run. Build includes packed-manifest verification.

CI at this head: 26 success, six skipped, one neutral, 33 running and eight queued; zero failures. Build, Windows, regressions and other checks are unfinished, so CI is not yet all green. Approval is on code merits, not a claim those gates passed.

Verdict: APPROVE
Reasoning: The release contains consistent versions and complete matching notes for the final-head-reviewed merged range. Focused source and execution checks found no additional release blocker, subject to the explicit cloud/performance limits above.
