Build the systems
other teams rely on.

Nodeblue is a research lab studying how machines reason and act inside mission critical operations. We build the systems that put those ideas on real sites, starting with Nexus. We hire for depth, judgment, and ownership.

How we work

Engineers, not layers

Small teams, direct ownership. The person who designs the system also ships it and supports it.

Real problems, real environments

Industrial sites, autonomous platforms, enterprise data. Work that survives contact with production.

Depth over breadth

We back fewer bets harder. Pick a hard problem, go deep, see it through.

Calm intensity

Backgrounds in Tesla, Amazon, and Applied Materials taught us how to ship under pressure - and how not to burn out doing it.

Open roles

Full-time

Machine Learning Engineer

Own how frontier models reason over a real operation: the agent layer on top of our deterministic engine, tool use, verification, and the eval harnesses that keep model answers honest against live control logic. Strong in Python and TypeScript today, and eager to shape more of the research as the systems grow.

Full-time

Software Engineer

Build and own the systems our research produces, from the connectors that read PLC, SCADA, and systems of record to the API surface, data model, and observability around them. Mostly TypeScript, Node, and Postgres today, but what matters most is that you can own a system end to end and ship software that runs on premise and air-gapped on a real site.

Full-time

Controls Engineer

The bridge between our research and the factory floor, and the person who keeps it grounded in how real lines actually run. Deep PLC and SCADA experience matters more to us than any single vendor: Allen-Bradley (Studio 5000), Siemens (TIA Portal), and the CODESYS family, HMI/SCADA on Ignition or FactoryTalk, EtherNet/IP and Profinet. You will spend real time on-site, and what you learn there sets what we build next.
