HEY HELLO𓂁𓂄𓂁𓂄 YOU, do you like horror games? what about wholesome horror games? well if you do you are in luck my friend. This is the WHOLESOME HORROR JAM 1#, a jam where you can make the creppiest horror game ever but the monster is kind or something like that, you can be as creative as you want here.

What is considered wholesome horror? wholesome horror is when you mix the nature of creppy, unsettling horror aspects of a game but put kind, helpfull, gentle contexts into it, for it to be considered wholesome you dont need to make a cozy 2d pixel art game to be considered wholesome(not saying you cant do that).

THEME :

The theme will be reviled here around 1h before the jam starts, so that you can get started on some kind of idea.

This jams theme is..........  FAIRY TALES .ᐟ🕮 , the theme is up to interpretation so do your best with it. 'ᴗ'

RULES : 

• TEAMS: you can have a team if you want, theres no limit of people for your team.
• AI: dont use ai in any form in your game especially ai generated art, if your game is strait up slop it will be disqualified.
• REUSING CODE/ ASSETS: you can reuse code you already wrote and assets, and you can use asset packs.
• ENGINES: you can use any engine, art progam, 3d moddler, or whatever to make your game it doesnt matter.
• GAME: be as creative as possible for your game, we want unique ideas, your game can be in any style and genre, it can be weird looking, cute, realistic, low poly, it doesnt matter, just make the best game you can(following the theme and wholesome horror aspects of course).
• OTHER: if yor game has gore or sensitive topics on it its good to disclose that on your game page so that other people know, the game you publish to this jam must have been made especially for this jam.

Your game will be rated in 5 categories.

• ✰ HORROR: how many aspects horror your game has, one of the main criterias of this jam.
• ✰ WHOLESOME: how make wholesome aspects your horror game has, also one of the main criterias of this jam.
• ✰ GRAPHICS AND SOUND DESING: how good are the gaphics, visuals, design of your game and how good are the sound tracks, sound effects and just the immersion of it.
• ✰ GAMEPLAY: how fun your game is overall, how creative/original are its mecanics and how hard is it to learn/play.
• ✰ THEME: how well you followed the theme, dont forget that the theme is up for interpretation.
