Hi Everyone

I’m Godwin Ofwono - a Software Engineering student at Uganda Technology and Management University, Uganda 🇺🇬, passionate about building technology that creates real impact in communities.

My journey combines software engineering, community leadership, AI, and innovation.

I am a GitHub Campus Expert, Zindi Ambassador for Uganda and a tech community lead on my campus, where I organize workshops, hackathons, and developer events that help students grow their technical and leadership skills.

I’ve had the privilege of participating in and winning multiple hackathons, where I built impactful solutions in financial inclusion, education technology, and AI-powered systems.

One of my proudest achievements was leading the development of an award-winning innovation focused on financial inclusion for underserved communities, which combined modern software engineering with practical real-world problem solving.

Beyond coding, I’m deeply passionate about community building and empowering the next generation of developers.

I’m always excited to collaborate, share knowledge, and build solutions that make a difference.
