Summary

Makes Python 3.15 the default interpreter and the version the CI test job runs. CI on 3.15 is expected to fail until the linked issue is fixed: argparse in 3.15 collides with TmuxpHelpFormatter._theme, so tmuxp fails while building its parser.

Changes

  • .tool-versions: python 3.15 3.14 3.13 3.12 3.11 3.10, with 3.15 first.
  • .python-version: 3.14 to 3.15.
  • .github/workflows/tests.yml: the test matrix runs 3.15 in place of 3.14. The release job is unchanged.

Testing

$ env -u GOOGLE_API_KEY uv run py.test

On Python 3.15.0 this reports 110 failed, 796 passed, 2 skipped; the failures are AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'reset' from argparse. On Python 3.14 the same command reports 906 passed, 2 skipped.

why: CPython 3.15.0 was released on 2026-10-09 and is past the 3-day
release cooldown. mise resolves the bare `3.15` to the newest installed
3.15.x, so the pin needs no patch bumps. mise and uv now default to
Python 3.15.0 here, with 3.14 through 3.10 kept as further entries.

why: uv's default interpreter for `uv sync` and `uv run` is now Python
3.15.

why: The test job in tests.yml ran only Python 3.14; 3.15 replaces it.
The suite does not pass on 3.15 yet: `uv run py.test` fails about 110
tests because argparse in 3.15 defines its own `_theme` property on
`HelpFormatter`, which `TmuxpHelpFormatter._theme` shadows. This commit
shows that failure in CI.
