Proposed update to streamline vulnerability reports through the Redis Vulnerability Disclosure Program. This removes the sentence directing researchers to report directly via GitHub's "Report a Vulnerability". It should be published in combination with disabling "Private vulnerability reporting" in the GitHub settings for this repository, so the policy and the repository settings agree. Overview
Reporting a Vulnerability in
SECURITY.mdnow directs researchers only to the Redis Vulnerability Disclosure Program, with no alternate path via GitHub’s “Report a Vulnerability.”The removed wording and blank line were the only substantive edits; the rest of the security policy is unchanged. This should be paired with turning off private vulnerability reporting in the repo’s GitHub settings so policy and configuration match.
