Discrepancy in Shortcut Functionality for Copying Text as Plain Text in MarkText 0.17.1 #3769
Currently, it appears to be impossible to copy text from a document/file as "plain text" without any formatting. According to the description of the shortcut keys, there should be a way to copy the selected text without any formatting as "plain text" using CTRL + SHIFT + V. However, this shortcut does the opposite: It pastes the text as "plain text", instead of copying it. This suggests a discrepancy between the documentation and the actual functionality in the program.
I have attached a screenshot to illustrate the problem.
Is there another method to copy the selected text as "plain text" without any formatting? If so, how?
Can you reproduce the issue?
Steps to reproduce
Select the text you want to copy.
Press CTRL + SHIFT + V.
Observe the result -> The contents of the clipboard have been pasted. But this contradicts the documentation: "Ctrl+Shift+V - Copy selected text as plaintext"
Expected behavior:
CTRL + SHIFT + V should copy the selected text as plain text so that I can paste it elsewhere, e.g., in Notepad++.
Actual behavior:
CTRL + SHIFT + V pastes text from the clipboard as plain text into the document in MarkText.
