Hi there 👋

I'm a Machine Learning Research Scientist working in the San Francisco Bay Area.

  • 🚗 I'm currently at Nuro, working on planning and behavior prediction for autonomous driving, plus foundation models and simulation.
  • 🎓 I finished my PhD in Computer Science at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in 2025, advised by Frank Wood, with a thesis on realistic controllable driving simulators.
  • 🏢 Previously a Research Scientist at Inverted AI (multi-agent driving simulation), and before that an ML Research Associate at Huawei Noah's Ark Lab (model compression and multilingual NMT).
  • 🏫 M.Sc. from Carleton University and B.Sc. from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
  • 🔬 I work on generative modeling, probabilistic inference, and RL, with a focus on turning research into impactful products. 20+ papers at ICML, ICLR, NeurIPS, and ACL.
  • 🤖 More on my research: Google Scholar.
  • 💬 Ping me about anything generative modeling / autonomous driving / ML research related.
