MerchantBot

WhatsApp-native commerce copilot for neighborhood traders, designed to become an embedded cashflow-based lending rail.

This repository is intentionally public and non-technical. It explains the concept, market thesis, platform flow, AI role, partner value and investor logic without exposing implementation internals.

One-line thesis

India's neighborhood traders do not need one more app. They need a WhatsApp-native operating layer that captures orders, payments, catalog, customer intent, inventory signals and cashflow behaviour — then converts that operating memory into responsible embedded finance.

Why this matters

Stakeholder Pain today MerchantBot angle
Small merchant Orders, payments, customer follow-ups and inventory are fragmented WhatsApp-first business assistant
Lender/NBFC Thin-file merchants are difficult to underwrite Cashflow memory and behaviour signals
Payment partner UPI/payment data is not converted into merchant intelligence Payment-to-commerce-to-credit loop
Platform partner Local commerce has low tooling adoption Chat-native workflow instead of app-heavy onboarding

  3. Merchant cashflow-memory simulation.
  4. Partner-lender credit-readiness narrative.
  5. Investor demo with no real customer or payment data.

Positioning

MerchantBot sits at the intersection of WhatsApp commerce, UPI payments, merchant operating data, cashflow-based underwriting and embedded finance.
