Summary

Adds Agentery to the GitHub Copilot plugin marketplace as an external plugin, referencing its public repository: https://github.com/ntlgnc/Agentery-Plugin

Agentery lets Copilot find suitable AI tools (AI products, agents, MCP servers and APIs) for a task, compare their published prices, and check fair market prices against comparable products. Agentery reports only vendor-published prices, with the source and the date observed. Missing prices are returned as unknown, never zero.

What the plugin contains

• plugin.json: Agent Plugins 1.0.0 manifest.
• mcp.json: one remote server, agentery, streamable-http, https://agentery.com/api/mcp.
• skills/agentery/SKILL.md: tool-selection guidance.
• README with Copilot install instructions; MIT licence.
• No hooks, scripts, local processes or binaries. The plugin reads no files, environment variables or credentials.

Authentication and network

• Endpoint: https://agentery.com/api/mcp only. No sign-in, API key or headers are needed.
• Exception: one partner-only server tool (rank_providers_for_workflow) needs a partner key. It is not listed to keyless clients and is not used by this plugin.
• 23 public tools, all annotated with readOnlyHint/destructiveHint. 16 are read-only. The 7 write tools affect only the caller's own items.
• Rate limit: 30 calls/min per IP.

Testing

Tested and passing (Copilot CLI 1.0.95, Linux):

• Installation: copilot plugin install ntlgnc/Agentery-Plugin installs the plugin. copilot mcp get agentery shows Type: http, URL: https://agentery.com/api/mcp, Source: Plugin.
• Marketplace route: with this PR's marketplace.json served as a marketplace, browse lists agentery, and copilot plugin install agentery@<marketplace> installs it and registers the same server.
• Direct MCP pricing query: the endpoint configured by the installed plugin was called directly with the JSON-RPC calls a client makes, without Copilot's model in the loop.
  • initialize OK; 23 tools listed.
  • price_benchmark "AI meeting notes assistant for a small team" returned a median of $27.50/month (middle range $13.50–$52.50) across 12 comparable agents.
  • search_providers returned 3 priced matches.

Not yet tested:

• A full Copilot chat session, where Copilot's model chooses and calls the Agentery tools. This needs a Copilot-licensed login, which the test environment did not have.
• Copilot in VS Code (agent mode).
