We build open-source software together, mostly in Rust. Each project has its own repository in this organization.

Project What it is
BrowseCraft A small web browser with tabs, a built-in ad blocker, and its own HTML/CSS rendering engine. Development is paused for now.
FileCraft Instant file search for Windows: an Everything-style desktop app with NTFS MFT indexing
ConvertCraft A local desktop file converter for images, data, audio, and video: batch conversion without uploading anything
SpeakCraft Hotkey dictation for Windows: hold a shortcut, speak, and the text is inserted into whatever app you are using

Get involved

  • Join the Freewright Discord to ask questions, share ideas and talk with the other contributors
  • Browse the open issues of any project, especially ones labelled good first issue
  • Each project's README (and CONTRIBUTING.md, where there is one) explains how to set it up and send changes
  • Every change goes through a pull request and gets one review before it merges
