TEST_ASSERTleaksconfigon failure.
TEST_ASSERT(provider != NULL)aborts the test function when provider creation fails. It does not callflb_config_exit(config). The old code released the config. The leak occurs only in the failure path, so the impact is low. Other tests in this file use the same pattern.🤖 Prompt for AI Agents

Review comments at @tests/integration/src/utils/fluent_bit_manager.py:
- Line 275: Update stop() around _send_windows_shutdown so an
AttachConsole-related failure is ignored only when a fresh process-state poll
confirms Fluent Bit has exited; preserve propagation of other helper failures.
Ensure the process-state reset and output-handle cleanup still run after this
race, while retaining existing behavior when the process remains alive.
- Around line 317-319: Update the shutdown sequence around AttachConsole,
SetConsoleCtrlHandler, and GenerateConsoleCtrlEvent so each Windows API call
executes independently of assertions, including when Python optimization is
enabled. Check each return value explicitly while preserving the existing
ctypes.get_last_error handling.

Fixed with a compatibility branch for MSVC’s traditional preprocessor. The original counters, dispatch macros, and optional-value helpers are preserved. No CMake source changes.
