This was my first blog and runs on self-hosted WordPress. I didn't enjoy my experience of using WP (hence switching to Hugo), but the process was invaluable. It allowed me to learn from experience, building a foundation for basic web development skills (like improving page performance, CDN integration, HTML/CSS tweaks, blog writing and SEO best practices, etc). I don't write here often though and I'm considering if I should consolidate it with BurgeonLab.

I have varying experience with the following:
- Free open source software (FOSS) and raising awareness for privacy-centric services
- IndieWeb, content ownership, decentralization, DeGoogle
- Web dev and blogging (with Hugo and self-hosted WordPress)
- Digital and film photography (favourite genres: street, urban, macro) & moving to FOSS post-processing post-Adobe era
- Speciality coffee / manual filter & espresso (a "home barista" if you will!)
- Home lab / self-hosting
- Android + macOS and occasionally Linux Mint on my retired Macbook Air 13" (2012)
- Hiking / cycling / city walks / Formula 1
- Incorporating Indieweb into my primary static (Hugo) blog with a Node.js Micropub server called Indiekit
- Creating my first public project: a Hugo calendar widget with accompanying documentation site
- Fine-tuning my personal knowledge management (PKM) system using Obsidian
- Self-hosting with my Raspberry Pi 4B 8GB
If my content or contribution has helped, a donation would be greatly appreciated. Your encouragement motivates me to write. Thank you!
