A browser extension that lets you highlight text on any web page and add it to your todometer list with a right-click.
- Highlight any text on a web page
- Right-click to open the context menu
- Click "Add to todometer"
- The selected text is sent to your local todometer app (via the
todometer://protocol!)
The todometer app must be installed and running.
- Go to
chrome://extensions(oredge://extensions,helium://extensions/, etc) - Enable Developer mode (toggle in the top right)
- Click Load unpacked
- Select this extension's folder
- Go to
about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox - Click Load Temporary Add-on
- Select the
manifest.jsonfile from this extension's folder
Note: Temporary add-ons in Firefox are removed when the browser closes. For permanent installation, the extension would need to be signed and distributed through addons.mozilla.org, and I simply don't have the patience to do that right now. I will eventually. I'll add that to todometer.
