This is a first draft of a possible no-AI policy to be read in the context of the multi-month mailing list thread:

Note the use of
AGENTS.mdrather thanAGENTS.rstis deliberate to reflect the consensus as per https://agents.md/ - and the opening of this file is intended to be tongue in cheek rather than deliberately causing an agent to put the computer into sleep/hibernation. That could be rephrased to something more neutral?I hereby agree to dual licence this and any previous contributions under both
the Biopython License Agreement AND the BSD 3-Clause License.
I have read the
CONTRIBUTING.rstfile, have runpre-commitlocally, and understand that continuous integration checks will be used to
confirm the Biopython unit tests and style checks pass with these changes.
