Adds /ai-tools as the umbrella for agent-facing setup, which previously had no single home: - /ai-tools - defines the MCP server, plugin, Agent Skills, client libraries, and machine-readable docs against each other, plus a client picker - /ai-tools/plugin - what a plugin bundles, and a per-client coverage matrix for MCP server, routing agent, and skills - /ai-tools/skills - the five Agent Skills, how they differ from MCP tools, and standalone install - /ai-tools/docs-for-agents - Markdown endpoints, llms.txt indexes, MCP docs tools, and the agent surfaces that live outside the docs Nothing moves, so no redirects are needed. Pages are reachable by URL and via cross-links; a top-level navbar tab needs a separate change in @apify/docs-theme, which is shared across repos.
Points the existing agent-facing pages at the new canonical pages, and removes the detail they now duplicate: - agent-onboarding: the skills table and the machine-readable surface table move to /ai-tools/skills and /ai-tools/docs-for-agents. Both section headings stay, so existing deep links to #agent-skills keep resolving. - integrations, integrations/ai, integrations/mcp: link up to /ai-tools so readers arriving at the MCP page find the plugin and skills too.
The capability-vs-procedure point and the "skills aren't a connection method" claim were stated on both /ai-tools and /ai-tools/skills. The hub now owns both; the skills page links up instead of restating them, and keeps the concrete one-step vs multi-step example. Also drops two self-describing sentences on the hub and the plugin page.
The right-hand navbar zone is a series of access modes - API over HTTP,
SDK from code, CLI from a terminal - and MCP was the agent entry in that
series. It now has more surface area than a single link can carry.
Converts it to a dropdown following the same pattern as API, SDK, and
CLI, including the href + to convention so the label itself opens the
landing page:
AI tools -> /ai-tools
MCP server -> /integrations/mcp
Plugin -> /ai-tools/plugin
Agent Skills -> /ai-tools/skills
Docs for agents -> /ai-tools/docs-for-agents
Net item count is unchanged, 7 left and 5 right. MCP server stays first
in the list so the keyword is still there when scanning, and
activeBaseRegex keeps /integrations/mcp highlighting this item as the
old MCP link did.
A dropdown duplicated the section sidebar in the top nav, and the two lists disagreed - the dropdown carried MCP server but no Overview, the sidebar carried Overview but no MCP server. The mobile hamburger rendered the children a third time. API, SDK, and CLI are dropdowns because their children cross into separate repos (/api/client/js/docs, /sdk/python/docs/overview, /cli/docs/*) where no shared sidebar can reach. AI tools has no boundary to cross, so it now matches Academy and the seven left-hand items: one link, sidebar does the rest. Side effect: /integrations/mcp no longer highlights a right-zone tab. It highlights Integrations, which is where the page lives.
Both landed on master after this branch was cut. Hermes ships three tools instead of the MCP server, so the exception is noted under the table rather than left as three bare "No" cells.
/ai-tools collides with the "largest marketplace of AI tools" positioning, which means Actors. Nothing is merged yet, so no redirects.
The page file moves to agent-tools/mcp.md with slug /mcp, so it sits in the hub sidebar under a flat, top-level URL. /integrations/mcp and /platform/integrations/mcp redirect in one hop, .md twins included. All internal links, the homepage card and the MCP cache-busting check in the theme follow the new path, and the Agent tools navbar item stays active on /mcp. The overview now leads with one sentence per tool and a grid of every supported agent, each card linking to that client's setup guide. The key concepts table reflects what each plugin actually bundles: OpenClaw, Hermes Agent, and Kilo Code add native Apify tools instead of the MCP server. Links to the retired Qoder CLI, IDE, and Work pages are gone. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
The plugin page gains a tabbed picker with install and sign-in steps for 12 agents, matching the commands on apify.com/plugin, and each tab links to that agent's full guide. The coverage table now reflects each plugin repository: OpenCode bundles skills and the routing agent, and OpenClaw, Hermes Agent, and Kilo Code register native tools instead of the MCP server. The Copilot, Qoder, VS Code, Kimi Code, Grok Build, and Kilo Code entries are new or updated. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
The skills table now lists both sets: plugins ship apify-sdk-integration, and the standalone skills CLI installs apify-integration-development in its place. The install section covers every agent whose plugin bundles skills, names the agents the standalone skills support, and points to the agent-skills discovery index on apify.com. The load-timing row is gone, since most agents now load MCP tools on demand too. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
The new page introduces the Apify Agent General Interface as the entry point for agents that pay their own way, walks through buying and using a prepaid token, and routes to the x402 and Skyfire guides, which stay in /integrations. MPP is listed with a pointer to agi.apify.com, since it has no Apify guide yet. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
Docs for agents now names agents.md as the agent quickstart and adds the files apify.com serves for agents: auth.md, llms.txt, openapi.json, the agent-skills discovery index, the MCP server card, the AI and API catalogs, and the OAuth metadata. The note on the docs MCP tools now states the anonymous-access condition, and the payments pointer goes to the new agentic payments page. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
The quickstart now introduces itself as the documentation version of apify.com/agents.md and names the three ways an agent connects. The remote MCP config declares the HTTP transport, the free-exploration tip states the anonymous-access URL, agentic payments get a row in the method table, and the skills section lists the current agents. The hub sidebar becomes explicit and links the quickstart as a ref, so the page keeps its URL and its Get started sidebar. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
The Claude, GitHub Copilot, Qoder, OpenAI client, Cursor, VS Code, Hermes Agent, Kimi Code, OpenCode, OpenClaw, and Manus pages move from the AI category into a new Agents category, together with the images only they use. Every page keeps its explicit slug, so no URL changes and no redirect is needed. The OpenAI Agents SDK and Assistants pages stay in AI. The AI overview's client grid gives way to a pointer to the agent tools hub, which now serves as the landing page for agents. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

A ref item takes the page's sidebar_label, so the hub showed "Agent onboarding". A link item keeps the "Quickstart" label. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
Related-resources lists now use one grammatical pattern per list, the AGI walkthrough points to the supported protocols before naming x402, and the llms-full.txt caution folds into the prose it repeated. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
Moving the images into the Agents category made the image linter treat them as new files, and it requires WebP for raster images. Converted with `pnpm opt:images` (2.3 MB saved) and repointed the Manus page. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
The MCP page now lives at /agent-tools/mcp, so every hub page shares one URL directory. /integrations/mcp and /platform/integrations/mcp still redirect in one hop, .md twins included, now to the new path. Internal links follow, and the Agent tools navbar item goes back to a plain activeBasePath. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
… grid spacing DocItemContent renders an optional `subtitle` front matter field as one line under the page title; pages without it render as before. The LLM buttons now show on /agent-tools pages too, which they missed. Card grids get the same bottom margin as other markdown blocks, so a paragraph right after a grid no longer sits flush against the last row. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
Adds the subtitle, shortens the intro to one paragraph without inline links, and drops the quickstart pointer. Cards use two-line descriptions of each agent, ChatGPT and Codex share one card that leads to the OpenAI page, Qoder and Qwen share one that leads to the Alibaba page, and Grok Build and Kilo Code get their logos. The MCP-only grid becomes one line pointing to the MCP server. The hub sidebar goes back to autogenerated, which drops the Quickstart link. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
Adds the subtitle and a Why use the plugin section that explains what a plugin can bundle, renames the bundle section to What's included, and drops the Plugin or the parts separately and Limitations sections. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
Renames the page to Agent Skills with a subtitle, drops the skills-versus-MCP comparison, and moves Install above the skill table. Install now covers the Claude Code skills marketplace and the Apify CLI login the standalone skills rely on. The table reflects that the skills CLI folds output schema generation into apify-actor-development. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
Checked against AGI v0.2.22: MPP also runs on Solana, x402 on Base can pay per run through batch settlement, and the prepaid-token terms are scoped to tokens. A prepaid token runs any limited-permission Actor regardless of pricing; only Skyfire is limited to eligible pay-per-event Actors. Drops the x402 skill link, which is being updated. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
Adds Markdown negotiation and changelog twins on apify.com, the per-section llms.txt indexes, the canonical MCP server card on mcp.apify.com, the OAuth authorization server metadata, the AGI agent guide, and the robots.txt Content-Signal and Agentmap lines. Corrects the auth.md, llms.txt, and ai-catalog descriptions to match what they serve today. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
…ith the hub Agents was the only integrations category without an index, and hub cards jumped into it unannounced. One partial keeps both card grids in sync.
Manus, OpenClaw, Hermes Agent, and Lovable moved to the Agents category, but their Featured cards stayed behind.
"Anonymous" read as a privacy feature; the section is about connecting without a token.
Confirmed by the AGI team: prepaid tokens run limited-permission Actors of any pricing model, batch settlement stays undocumented for now, plan caps are public.
…ages Grok Build and Kilo Code have no setup guide, so their cards were the only ones leaving Integrations. They now install from the plugins page.
…b-lukas # Conflicts: # sources/platform/integrations/ai/index.mdx # sources/platform/integrations/index.mdx
…monetization page Prepaid AGI tokens (x402, MPP) run any limited-permission Actor; the eligibility rules apply only to per-request payments such as Skyfire.

Follow-up cleanup for #3014: fixes the agentic payments summary on the hub overview, surfaces the Apify CLI prerequisite on the plugins page, reorders the payments page, and removes a duplicated plugin roster from the skills page.
