OpenCode Desktop security Issue: It should have this Menu item: Help ❯ About #57800

Open

Description

Good evening

Maybe OpenCode Desktop will never have a security vulnerability. But if it does, it’s crucial that customers can intuitively check which version is installed 😍

That’s why it would be great if OpenCode Desktop:

  1. Displayed which version is currently running in the Help ❯ About menu
  2. Instead of the Update button having 0% transparency, it should:
    a. display which version would be installed
    b. and, ideally, include a link to the user download Link or Release Notes.

Thanks a lot, kind regards,
Thomas

Thanks for the suggestion, Thomas! I think this is a duplicate of #51085, which asks for the same Help ❯ About menu item showing the installed version.

Possible duplicates and related items, ordered from most to least likely:

Until that lands, you can check the installed version in Settings ❯ About.

Your second idea (the update button showing which version would be installed, with a link to the release notes) isn't covered by #51085. If you'd like it tracked separately, just say so here.
