Project focus: Web development and Machine Learning

There is a whole community of people that are part of underrepresented groups in tech, but are qualified to embark on internships and entry level jobs in the tech industry. For these people it can be difficult to find available jobs and fitting employers willing to hire them. Companies on the other hand, find it difficult to find tech talent generally and specifically candidates from underrepresented groups for their tech roles.

This is a way for non-profit organizations who are involved in helping diversify the talent pool for the tech industry to facilitate the process of their community members getting jobs in the tech industry. Create an exclusive recruiting platform that helps underrepresented groups in tech find entry level jobs and internships. In doing so, it also helps companies find tech talent for their entry level jobs and internships.

Shift: a platform that makes it easy for candidates to find entry level jobs and companies to find and easily contact tech talent for said jobs.

Susanne König: With over 18 years of experience in web design and development, online and email marketing, and digital consulting, Susanne is passionate about creating user-friendly and responsive websites and newsletters, using the latest web technologies and best practices. As a self-employed freelancer, she has worked with various clients across different industries, providing them with tailored web and digital solutions, as well as speaking at conferences and offering workshops.

Since August 2019, she is also part of the Powercoders team, a job integration program and coding academy for refugees and migrants in Switzerland, where she is responsible for training and talent development. In this role, she help the participants learn the essential skills and tools to become successful web developers, as well as supporting them in finding internships and jobs in the Swiss IT market. Susanne enjoys working with this diverse and motivated group of learners, and contributing to their integration and empowerment.

Mathias Keller: is passionate about people and tech! Mathias found his professional start in tech recruiting over 10 years ago. Working as a headhunter, he quickly learned what was important to both candidates and companies during the recruiting process. He immediately developed a fascination with CRMs and ATSs and constantly improved the CRMs at the companies he worked for. After gaining experience in recruiting for a few years, he changed careers to work as a software implementation consultant for HR. He now implements recruiting ATS and leads HR Software implementation for national and international companies, leads a team of consultants and heads up account management at his current role.

Mathias has published articles on recruiting in HR magazines, given talks at educational institutions, such as ETH and WISS and has been a part of women++ since 2018. Mathias believes that promoting and harnessing diversity is a key element to success in any organization and that recruiting plays a central role in facilitating that process.

Project focus: Software engineering

Many (if not all) orgs define goals/OKRs/KPIs, some of which can't be measured automatically. Let's avoid doing this in MS Excel ;)

Increase efficiency by streamlining processes for diverse teams/circles + improve data quality + enable data driven decisions. Team/circle members are enabled to manually insert KPI values with minimal effort so they (later) can be visualized in a dashboard. Create an app for team/circle members to manually and frequently insert KPI values

An Open Source, Enterprise-ready application to track KPIs, allowing an organization’s users to create, amend and visualize KPIs, following specified validation criteria. Data should be stored in a database (or data warehouse) that integrates with visualization tools, such as Tableau, Metabase and other reporting/visualization tools.

Martin Seifer: Martin has been turning numbers into decisions at Pro Juventute since 2022. From strategy to modelling, engineering to analysis, and everything in between.

He is a CRM and Data Analytics specialist with over 12 years of experience. With a keen focus on leveraging data-driven insights, Martin contributes significantly to Pro Juventute's mission of empowering youth. Through his expertise, he enhances the organization's programs and services, ensuring they align seamlessly with the needs and aspirations of children and young individuals. Martin's dedication to harnessing the power of data positively impacts over 270,000 young lives annually, making him an integral part of Pro Juventute's transformative journey.
