Maze Generator and Solver using DFS and BFS algorithms in JavaScript with React UI

This is a maze generator and solver web application built using JavaScript with React for the user interface. The application uses Depth First Search (DFS) algorithm to generate a random maze and Breadth First Search (BFS) algorithm to find the shortest path from start to end of the maze.

Dependencies

• Node.js v14.17.6 or higher
• Vite v2.6.4 or higher
• React v17.0.2 or higher npm

Installation

1. Clone the repository to your local machine
2. Open terminal and navigate to the project directory
3. Run npm install to install the required dependencies
4. Run npm run dev to start the application
5. Open http://localhost:5173/ in your browser

Usage

• Click on the "Generate Maze" button to create a random maze
• Click on the "Solve Maze" button to find the shortest path from start to end of the maze

Credits

This application was developed by Maxwell Knight. The DFS and BFS algorithms used for maze generation and pathfinding were adapted from Wikipedia. The UI created using React.
