I'm a physicist-turned-engineer working at Archimede GmbH, focusing on computer vision, large-scale drone imagery, and data engineering. My work includes deep-learning pipelines with PyTorch, 3D-reconstruction workflows (COLMAP), and production backend systems built with Python, Pydantic, and AWS Powertools.
Previously, I completed my PhD in astroparticle physics at Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron, where I performed the first search for GeV-scale heavy neutral leptons using data from the IceCube Neutrino Observatory.
Currently working on:
- Point cloud processing and photogrammetric reconstruction pipelines
- Computer vision for automated object detection and segmentation
- Agentic AI approaches for building analysis and damage assessment
- Serverless backend systems on AWS
Core skills:
- Python, PyTorch, scientific computing, C++
- Computer vision, photogrammetry, and 3D reconstruction
- Data engineering and cloud-native backend systems (AWS)
- Scientific computing and analysis frameworks (former maintainer of PISA)
