Senior software engineer focused on Rails, Python, AI-assisted applications, and secure backend systems.
I'm a software engineer who enjoys building practical, well-designed systems that solve real problems.
Most of my professional work is in Ruby on Rails, but I also work with Python, JavaScript, relational databases, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and developer tooling. Lately, I've been going deeper into AI applications, LLM-powered workflows, and security-conscious web development.
I care about clean architecture, thoughtful product decisions, and writing code that future engineers do not curse under their breath.

- Life with high-drive dogs: Linda, Pepito, and the lessons Maverick left behind
Outside of software, I spend a lot of time training, walking, and getting humbled by my dogs.
Linda has been my steady four-legged companion and Chief Debugging Officer. Pepito, my Belgian Malinois, keeps me sharp, active, and honest.
Maverick, my soul dog, passed away, but his impact is still with me. He reminds me to live with more courage, loyalty, and presence.
Always building. Always learning. Trying to make software that is useful, durable, and a little less annoying.
