Sparks Programming

Objective

To explore the skills and concepts of programming.

These activities may best be taught with the young makers grouped by age; such as 4/5 year olds, and 6/7/8 year olds. Also as an alternative and depending on the group, young makers can also be grouped by skill level. Meaning some young makers may have experience with some of the programming mediums designed for children. Thus, young makers can work according to their skill level. These grouping do not have to be formal grouping, Leaders can informally group young maker as to allow for better flow of each activity.

For Leaders

What is programming- a set of instructions in an specific order, in a special language, that tells a computer, robot or a video game what to do.
