Founder and CEO of molCore. I build the layer of biology that evolution could not, and that modern engineering needs.
The full story, my CV, and the vision statement live at arielbs.github.io.
Now — molCore, asset-driven drug discovery: the technology and the molecular platform for next-generation biologics, and the foundation for persistent biomaterials. Scientist-in-Residence at Abiologics, SAB at Decycle Bio.
Before — co-founder and CTO of ZipBio. Research scientist at the Baker Lab, where I pioneered the first de novo designed binary protein 2D materials. The first vertical organic field-effect transistors at the Technion.
Working on — electrogenetics, biology's upper-limit BCI, persistent biologics.
In my free time
- Scientific visualization of protein structure and assembly, built in PyMOL, Python and Blender: the channel
- Building my own computers, radio-controlled airplanes long before that, and anything else that has to be built by hand
- Helicopter pilot, general aviation
- Trail running and orienteering, which is the same skill as research: move fast, stay found
- English, Hebrew, French
