AppsMenu

A lightweight macOS application launcher and menu for quickly accessing your installed apps.

AppsMenu provides a simple way to organize and launch macOS applications, with user-defined categories and a native macOS app icon.

📦 Installation

Requirements

  • macOS
  • Swift / Apple's command-line development tools

Install

Download or clone the repository:

git clone https://github.com/AndrisLicitis/AppsMenu.git
cd AppsMenu

Make the scripts executable:

chmod +x install.sh uninstall.sh

Run the installer:

./install.sh

The installer builds AppsMenu.app, installs it to /Applications, applies a local ad-hoc signature and refreshes macOS Launch Services.

Uninstall

From the project directory, run:

./uninstall.sh

🧑‍💻 Development

The main application source code is located in:

Sources/
└── AppsMenu.swift

The project is intentionally lightweight so that it can be easily understood, modified and improved.
