AI for AUTOSAR Modeling: Our OCX Demo
October 13, 2026 | 2 min ReadSince we showed our AI-powered AUTOSAR modeling demo at OCX, we have been asked about it quite a few times. So we wanted to quickly share it again on its own.
While this demo is inspired by AI modeling tool products we developed for customers, this demo was literally created for OCX to demonstrate the power of AI in custom modeling tools. It shows how an AI agent can interact with an AUTOSAR-style graphical modeling tool: based on a system specification, the agent can create the corresponding model, add and connect elements, understand the existing model, answer questions about it, and modify it using natural language.
What we particularly like about the demo is the combination it shows.
The AI is powerful enough to reason about the engineering task, while interacting with the tool through a domain-specific language and domain operations rather than just manipulating pixels or generating arbitrary text. At the same time, the engineer stays in the loop through the familiar visual representation of the model and can immediately inspect what the AI created or changed.
The AUTOSAR example itself was created specifically as a demo for OCX. In customer projects, however, we build similar AI-assisted solutions for real domain-specific engineering tools and workflows. The concrete domain may differ, but the underlying idea is often the same: combine powerful AI with domain-specific tooling while keeping the human firmly in the loop.
The demo combines Eclipse Theia AI with graphical modeling technology based on Eclipse GLSP.
If you are exploring a similar use case, take a look at our AI-native tool development services. If graphical models and diagrams are part of your tool, you can also learn more about our work with Eclipse GLSP.
Or simply tell us what you are building. We are happy to discuss how AI could fit into your domain-specific tool or engineering workflow.
