What is electerm online?
electerm online is the online version of electerm, supporting SSH, SFTP, RDP, VNC, SPICE, Telnet, FTP and more. It runs entirely in the browser, no install needed.
How is it different from the desktop electerm?
electerm online does not support local terminal, serial port, or web page features. Other features like SSH, SFTP, RDP/VNC/SPICE, multi-tab interface, and theming are the same as the desktop version.
How is it different from electerm-web?
electerm-web is a self-hosted web version for personal use only. electerm online is a public service — no deployment needed, just sign in with GitHub.
Is it really free?
Yes, completely free. But please be considerate and avoid abuse. It is running on a small VPS and I want to keep it sustainable for everyone.
Is my data secure?
I am a solo developer doing my best to keep things secure, but no guarantees. Connection credentials are stored on the server, and SSH connections are proxied through it. I recommend using key-based authentication and avoiding storing highly sensitive credentials.
What protocols are supported?
SSH, SFTP, FTP, RDP, VNC, SPICE, Telnet, NC.
Can I import bookmarks from the desktop app?
Yes. Export data from desktop electerm and import it into electerm online, including bookmarks.
