Things I've built.
Not a client-work showcase — this is the engineering side. What got built, what broke, what I'd do differently next time.
Campus platform, built solo
Node.js/Express backend, Socket.io for real-time features, MongoDB/Mongoose for data, React/TypeScript frontend. The biggest lesson: real-time features are easy to demo and hard to keep consistent once more than a few users are connected at once — most of the later iteration went into making Socket.io state actually reliable, not into new features.
Contributed, not solo-built
Working inside someone else's codebase taught a different set of lessons than building from scratch — reading conventions before writing code, and how much slower (but more durable) good code review makes a team move.
Event site — checkout under real pressure
Live ticket counts backed by Supabase, tiered pricing, Paystack inline checkout. Built knowing it had to hold up on one specific night with real money moving through it — different discipline than a portfolio project that never has to be right under load.
Everything else along the way
A handful of smaller sites and tools that don't need their own full write-up yet, but each one taught something specific — worth a page each eventually.
Have something worth building?
This is the kind of work that ends up on this page — tell me what you're working on.
