I build web interfaces that are still fast after five teams have had a go at them.
Ten-plus years of engineering, currently on the Go team at Superhuman. Interface, performance, delivery and observability — the long way of saying I also care what happens after the deploy.
What I work on
Interface architecture
Technical direction for a product's web surfaces: the shared patterns, boundaries and components several teams build on. Someone has to decide these things, and the alternative is four different date pickers.
Performance
Budgets, instrumentation and profiling owned by the teams themselves, so regressions turn up before a release. Everything is fast on a new laptop on the office network, which is not where it runs.
Delivery & observability
CI/CD, release tooling and the metrics, logs and tracing that show how a change behaves in production — built once, adopted across teams, so "is it broken?" stops being a group discussion.
