AI Agents Broke Into More Than 100 Company Sites for About $50 Each, a Researcher Estimates. The Operator Left the Dashboards Open.

On Monday, October 19, 2026, NorForge published a report on more than 20 internet-exposed panels of Cairn, an open-source AI agent platform, and Reuters reported that one Chinese-speaking operator's agents had attempted more than 1,200 websites since September 25 and broken into more than 100 companies, including Deere, SharkNinja and Cummins. The largest cluster ran over 1,100 attack projects on a worker named claudecode_deepseek-v4.1-flash, successful projects took a little under 23 hours on average, and NorForge researcher Snorre Fagerland roughly estimates about $5,000 in tokens, or about $50 per successful hack. It is the third AI-agent intrusion campaign since September 22 that defenders reconstructed from an attacker's own exposed infrastructure.

DHS Dated Its DeepSeek Ban July 24. It Reached the Federal Register on Tuesday, 28 Days After the Exception Deadline.

On Tuesday, October 20, 2026, the Federal Register published DHS Exclusion and Removal Order #2026-01, signed by Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin under the Federal Acquisition Supply Chain Security Act. It bars federal civilian agencies from buying from DeepSeek and its affiliates and orders removal of DeepSeek products and third-party products developed using DeepSeek implementations, a phrase the order never defines. The order lists an original release date of July 24, 2026, 88 days before publication, and gives agencies 60 days from issuance to request exceptions, a window that closed September 22 by that date, 28 days before the public notice.

Anthropic Wants to Put 5 Percent of Its Shares in a Fund That Grows With the Stock. It Has Not Said Who Decides How It Is Spent.

On Sunday, October 18, 2026, Anthropic said it will commit 5 percent of its shares to a new Anthropic Public Benefit Fund, subject to stockholder approval, with 2 percent more at the board's discretion for every 50 percent increase in its value above a baseline it has not disclosed. At the $965 billion May valuation, 5 percent is about $48 billion by TensorFeed's math. The fund is a wholly-owned LLC rather than a 501(c)(3), may make large nonprofit donations or direct distributions to specific populations, and cannot use its Anthropic equity for lobbying or political giving; its governance and valuation milestones come in the coming months.

Your daily AI intelligence hub

The AI landscape moves fast. New models ship weekly. API pricing changes overnight. Tools developers relied on yesterday get deprecated without warning. TensorFeed was built to solve that problem, one place to track everything happening across the AI ecosystem, updated every 10 minutes, structured for both human readers and autonomous agents.

We aggregate headlines from public feeds from AI labs and tech news outlets (Google AI Blog, Hugging Face Blog, TechCrunch AI, The Verge AI, Ars Technica, MIT Technology Review, NVIDIA AI Blog, arXiv cs.AI, Hacker News AI, and WIRED AI), monitor the operational status of every major AI API in real time, track model releases and pricing changes across providers, and publish original editorial analysis on the trends shaping the industry. Whether you are a developer evaluating which API to integrate, a researcher tracking the latest papers, or an AI agent pulling structured data through our JSON feeds, TensorFeed delivers the signal without the noise.
