As you explore, you can preview songs and get information about how they can used to help you find the right music for your videos.
Find tracks
There are a few ways you can find tracks in Creator Music:
To view featured tracks grouped by mood, genre, and other criteria:
- Sign in to YouTube Studio in a web browser.
- From the left menu, select Creator Music
.
- On the Discover page, browse tracks in any of the following sections:
- Revenue sharing tracks: Tracks that allow you to monetize your video by sharing revenue with the track's rights holders.
- No-cost music: Tracks you can license at no cost to retain full monetization of your video.
- Moods: Tracks with a similar mood, such as Happy, Sad, and Dramatic.
- Genres: Tracks grouped by genres, such as Ambient, Blues, and Classical.
To search for a specific song or artist:
- Sign in to YouTube Studio in a web browser.
- From the left menu, select Creator Music
.
- On the Home or Browse pages, go to the search bar
and enter search terms, such as song title or artist name.
To find tracks that are eligible for revenue sharing:
- Sign in to YouTube Studio in a web browser.
- From the left menu, select Creator Music
.
- Look for the Share revenue icon
wherever tracks are listed.
Keep in mind:
- On the Music page, you can find revenue sharing tracks using the Usage terms filter.
- Revenue sharing tracks canât be downloaded from Creator Music.
Filter track lists
To filter a list of tracks:
- Sign in to YouTube Studio in a web browser.
- From the left menu, select Creator Music
.
- Click Music.
- Click any category:
- Mood
- Genre
- Vocals
- BPM (Beats per minute)
- Duration
- Usage terms
- Select filters
APPLY.
You can select more than one filter across multiple categories.
- Sign in to YouTube Studio in a web browser.
- From the left-hand menu, select Creator Music
.
- On the Discover page under Create Music, enter a text prompt specifying the instruments, mood, and type of video you're making. Dream Track will generate four loopable instrumental options â each around 60 seconds in length â for you to choose from.
- Note: Generating the instrumental tracks may require a short wait.
- Click Create.
- To play the track, hover over the album artwork and click Play
.
- If you like any of the generated tracks, click on the download button to save it and use it in your video.
Preview tracks
When you find music youâre interested in, there are a few ways to preview a track and get information about it before you use it:
Play a song
- Listen on Creator Music: In any track list, hover over the album artwork and click Play
.
- Listen in YouTube: In any track list, click More actions
Open on YouTube to play the song on YouTube.

To quickly see track usage info, look for these icons in Creator Music:

For tracks that are licensable or eligible for revenue sharing, you can find more information about how tracks can be used in the track's usage details:
- Find a track that's licensable or eligible for revenue sharing.
- For licensable tracks, click More actions
View usage details. For revenue sharing tracks, click the View revenue sharing details
icon.
- You can also click More actions
View usage details where any track is listed.
- You can also click More actions
Keep in mind that usage details can change at the discretion of the rights holders.
Download a licensable track
Licensable tracks can be downloaded so you can make sure they work in your videos before buying a license. Tracks marked as eligible for revenue sharing canât be downloaded.
To download a licensable track:
- Find a licensable track you want to download.
- Click More actions
Download track in any track list or from the player bar.
- (Optional) Click VIEW USAGE DETAILS to see the license's usage details.
The track can now be used in your video, per the terms outlined in the license's usage details.
