Primary
In numbers
-
6 billion+ IoT data points captured in 13,000+ homes using our IoT stack
-
1.5 million+ properties scanned using our mobile mapping software
-
1,000+ km of capture distance per vehicle per week
What we do
-
AI asset monitoring
Our machine learning detectors read every image from a scan and place what they find on the map: road signs and markings, lamp posts, trees, road damage and invasive plants. Physical assets become entities in our built environment data schema, enabling monitoring over time.
-
Mobile mapping
Our survey vehicle records LiDAR, 360° imagery and mobile network performance data as it drives, and can capture whole jurisdictions efficiently to high precision and accuracy. The system outputs to open formats such as LAZ, JPEG and GeoJSON, and is compatible with most GIS platforms.

GIS.JE
GIS.JE puts our survey data, 3D scans and your own layers in one web map, with a sign-in for your organisation. Site licences as standard, so everyone in your organisation can benefit from high quality geospatial data.

IoT monitoring
We have designed and run the data infrastructure for large in-building monitoring programmes. Setting the standards that allow multi-stakeholder projects to run effectively. Our focus on DevOps and built environment data schemas results in robust pipelines and data usable by domain specialists and AI agents.

Who we are
-
Gary Edwards Managing director
Gary founded re.je in 2016. A registered architect (buildings) and roboticist, he developed the IoT data infrastructure for a national retrofit programme and leads IslandView, the island-wide survey of Jersey. Before coming home to Jersey in 2020 he spent four years at Arup in London as an architect and BIM standards developer, latterly leading software and tools for its global architecture practice, and taught at the Bartlett, UCL and the Architectural Association.
-
Nathaniel Hey Technical lead, data and systems
Nat is a data scientist and machine learning engineer with a background in physics. He leads the research, development and implementation of the pipelines that process the LiDAR, imagery and GNSS data, as well as the ML asset detection and monitoring for the built environment data schema. His work on deep neural networks for jet tagging using the ATLAS detector, completed during his MSc at the University of Edinburgh, has been presented to several working groups at CERN.
-
Dan Sayers Hardware lead
Dan is a mechanical and electrical engineer (MEng, University of Bath). He designs and builds our capture hardware, from the roof-mounted survey rig's mechanical armatures to bespoke circuit board design and assembly, and is responsible for scanning vehicle maintenance and operations.
-
Claire Edwards Finance director
Claire is a qualified accountant and professional educator. She trained and practised accountancy in Jersey's trust and finance sector before moving to London to teach professional qualifications. Since returning to Jersey she has run finance, budgeting and GST, and the financial reporting behind our grants and contracts.
