Allow CI built artifacts be downloaded #4582

Closed

Description

@wclr

Currenlty on any PR/commit CI buids executabls for all platforms, but those artifacts can not be donlowded for example for testing/evaluating purposes by someone who doesn't want to build it on their own.

I believe github CI can be configured to make those artifacts downloadable without additonal requirements?

    It looks like you can download them - if you check out the CI logs, the "Upload bundle" step includes an "Artifact download URL" link.

    I've seen the upload step configured but it is only for pre-release.

    I don't know what the policy is for making pre-releases, so I propose to enable this ability for all PRs, if it is applicable.

    But you want access to the assets for just any CI run?

    For example in this PR people asked for compiled binary to try it out without bothering to build it, how can we enable this?

    Closing this, one may just do what is needed in one's forked repo.
