Open external documentation links in a new tab #14167
While reading the Play Framework documentation, I noticed that external links (such as GitHub repositories, examples, and other external references) open in the same browser tab. This makes it easy to lose the current place in the documentation and interrupts the reading flow, especially when following tutorials or exploring examples.
Opening external links in a new tab by default would make it easier to:
Continue reading the documentation while exploring examples.
Compare the documentation with external resources side by side.
Avoid repeatedly navigating back to the documentation.
This is a usability enhancement rather than a functional issue, but it could improve the reading experience, especially for developers following tutorials.
