Additional diagnostic result: The application also returns HTTP 200 locally when I send the exact Codespaces forwarded hostname as the Host header: curl -sS -o /dev/null Result: So the application accepts the forwarded hostname correctly. The HTTP 404 appears to occur in the Codespaces forwarding/access layer before the request reaches Next.js. |

Hello GitHub Community,
I'm experiencing a Codespaces port-forwarding problem and would appreciate help identifying the cause.
Environment:
PROBLEM
My Next.js application runs successfully inside Codespaces.
Local test:
Port 3000: HTTP 200
Port 3001: HTTP 200
However, both private forwarded URLs return HTTP 404.
TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED
Both forwarded ports continue returning HTTP 404.
I also contacted GitHub Support under ticket #4795156, but the ticket was closed because my account is currently directed to self-service support resources.
QUESTIONS
Has anyone experienced this behavior with GitHub Codespaces?
Could this indicate an issue with the Codespaces forwarding proxy or session routing?
Are there additional diagnostics I can perform without changing port visibility to Public?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
