Enter a subject line, write up your issue, and submit. After that you'll see that Copilot answers the question, and and below that you should see an option to "Continue to create a ticket". I think so you could try that. My student ID has my first middle and last name too, but github didnt even ask me to upload anything to verify, just my email worked perfectly fine. But I think you should reach out to support, they can help you much faster regarding this.
