If your GitHub account was compromised, the fastest path is usually through GitHub Account Recovery rather than the Community Discussions forum.

A few questions:

• Can you still sign in to the account?
• Do you still have access to the original email address associated with the account?
• Was the username changed, or was the account deleted?
• Did you have two-factor authentication (2FA) enabled?

If you still have access to the original email account, check for:

• Email address change notifications
• Password reset emails
• Security alerts from GitHub

If the account has been taken over, use GitHub's account recovery and support options as soon as possible. Include:

• The original username
• The original email address
• Approximate date and time of the compromise
• Any repositories that were affected

Do not post sensitive information such as passwords, recovery codes, or private security details publicly in this discussion.
