Hey @SAIF-git903, That sounds super stressful, congrats on getting approved first off! Since your account was suspended right around the time you applied, there's a good chance the automated system got tripped up. It probably flagged your account for a manual review instead of sending the benefits automatically. I'd say don't wait much longer. Since it's been almost 6 days and your account is in good standing now, shoot an email to GitHub Education Support. Just explain the suspension timeline—they usually sort this out pretty fast once they take a look. Hang in there, you'll get that pack! |

A delay of a few days can happen, but 5–6 days is longer than usual, especially if your account was temporarily suspended—that can interrupt benefit provisioning. For the GitHub Student Developer Pack, activation is normally automatic after approval, but account issues can cause it to get stuck in “Awaiting Benefits.” 👉 At this point, don’t wait longer—contact GitHub Support and explain: Approval date (April 18) They can manually re-trigger the benefits activation. |

Benefit Activation/Waiting
Hi everyone,
Hi everyone,
I was approved for the GitHub Student Developer Pack on April 18, 2026, but my status is still “Awaiting Benefits” after 5 days (in a couple of hours, it will be 6 days).
Around the time I applied, my account was temporarily suspended (now fully restored), and I suspect this may have interrupted the activation process.
Has anyone experienced delays like this after an account issue? Should I wait longer, or contact support to resolve it?
Thanks in advance!
