We use GitHub enterprise and i have tested the private networking for GitHub-hosted runners https://docs.github.com/en/organizations/managing-organization-settings/configuring-private-networking-for-github-hosted-runners-in-your-organization as documented here. it looks pretty straight forward however i struggled to make it working.
my conclusion is that with documented NSG configuration it will never work. i had to allow Outbound internet connection on port 443 and then only it worked.
I am wondering is this a special scenario which we may have in our configuration or it is really a bug. i can not simply configure this rule if this is not documented.
can someone please share their experience?
