Hi @willianrefky , This is a very common billing sync issue. Your payment went through but GitHub's system hasn't updated your plan yet. Here's exactly what to do. Step 1 — Check if it's just a sync delay Step 2 — Confirm payment actually went through Step 3 — Force account sync Step 4 — If still showing Free after 1 hour Go to Screenshot of your bank transaction (like you have) 👍 If this helped you, please mark it as the answer — it helps others in the community who run into the same issue find the solution faster! |

Copilot Pro payment successful but plan not activated, also, I’m unable to upgrade to Copilot Pro, which I understand is due to the new restrictions. What should I do in this case, or how long might it take until the plan becomes available to me? |

Check for a Sync Delay: This is common right after payment. Wait 15–30 minutes, sign out of GitHub completely, clear your browser cache, and sign back in. Be sure to also restart your IDE (like VS Code). Verify the Payment: Go to your GitHub Billing History. If the charge isn't there, it might just be a temporary authorization hold from your bank that will disappear in a few days. Force an Account Sync: Inside VS Code, open the Command Palette, select Copilot: Sign Out, restart VS Code, and then sign back in. Contact Support: If it has been over an hour and it still shows as "Free," it is likely a backend sync bug on GitHub's end. Open a ticket with GitHub Support under the "Billing" category and provide a screenshot of your bank transaction and GitHub billing history. Hope this helps you get it sorted! |

Hi @willianrefky ,
This is a very common billing sync issue. Your payment went through but GitHub's system hasn't updated your plan yet. Here's exactly what to do.
Step 1 — Check if it's just a sync delay
This happens a lot right after payment. Wait 15–30 minutes, then:
Sign out of GitHub completely
Clear your browser cache
Sign back in and check github.com/settings/copilot
Also restart VS Code / your IDE after signing back in.
Step 2 — Confirm payment actually went through
Go to github.com/settings/billing/history and check:
Does your Copilot Pro payment appear there?
If yes → it's a sync bug, go to Step 3
If no → the charge on your bank may be a temporary authorization hold, not a real …
