I am using a coding assistant inside a sandbox, and would like to connect to the UI outside the sandbox, which requires it to be hosted on 0.0.0.0 instead of just localhost. Can this be an option?
Added in 34b042a. Set GIOTTO_HOST=0.0.0.0 (or run giotto --host 0.0.0.0) and the canvas listens on every interface, so you can open it from outside the sandbox.
When the agent starts Giotto through MCP, put it in the server env, e.g. for Claude Code:
claude mcp add giotto -e GIOTTO_HOST=0.0.0.0 -- giotto mcp
Two notes:
If a canvas is already running, stop it once so it restarts with the new host.
Anyone who can reach that port can edit your diagrams, so only open it on a network you trust.
giotto update picks it up. Thanks for the request!
