    Then the you have the access to the download URL endpoint. What's the version of your eclipse then?

    And what if you try following approach:

    1. Open Install New Software... dialog
    2. Click Manage

    1. Remove all GitHub Copilot related entries:

    I see.

    Try adding

    -Djavax.net.ssl.trustStoreType=Windows-ROOT

    to your Eclipse.ini file

    What about only adding -Djavax.net.ssl.trustStoreType=WINDOWS-ROOT? (Upper case WINDOWS-ROOT )

    This user had the same problem like you and make it work after adding it

    ujjwalthakur-git My guess is that the cert of the update site is not trusted by your jdk. What if:

    1. Remove
    -Djavax.net.ssl.trustStoreType=Windows-ROOT
-Djavax.net.ssl.trustStore=NONE

    from your eclipse.ini

    1. Open https://azuredownloads-g3ahgwb5b8bkbxhd.b01.azurefd.net/github-copilot in your browser and export the cert. For example, if you are using Chrome/Edge:

    Select root CA

    Set the extension name to 'pem', and set the file type as :single certificate

    1. Import into JVM TrustStore
    # Import the certificate
keytool.exe -import -alias copilot-update-site-cert -file <your_cert>.pem -keystore %JAVA_HOME%\lib\security\cacerts
    1. Verify the cert is imported
    keytool.exe -list -keystore %JAVA_HOME%\lib\security\cacerts -alias copilot-update-site-cert

    Note

    1. $JAVA_HOME should be the home path of the jdk you are using to launch eclipse, according to your shared eclipse.ini file, it should be C:/Users/bakhani/.p2/pool/plugins/org.eclipse.justj.openjdk.hotspot.jre.full.win32.x86_64_21.0.8.v20250724-1412/
    2. Use admin privileges to run the command
    3. after importing, you need to restart Eclipse.

    After exporting the certificate, it is not downloading any .pem file.
    It is downloading a certificate with name _.azurefd.net

    Good. I'm sorry that my original post does not make it clearly.

    What you can do now is

    1. Select the Root CA cert and export it

    1. Set the extension name to 'pem', and set the file type as :single certificate

    Then import it to your jdk trust store as described in #42 (comment)

    You can manually edit .crt -> .pem

    After export, if you open the ,pem file in editor, it should have following format

    -----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----
    (Base64-encoded data)
    -----END CERTIFICATE-----

    One hint from my case. I'm using my company's proxy, need to make sure clear to socks entry in eclipse network configuration. (Keep http and https only)
