Hello! I'd like to make a very mild customization to the authors representation (allow multiple authors) and I can't see a way I can override the template. It seems like I could implement this as an if in the existing template, but maybe a more general purpose feature would be to split up the template and allow individual sections of it to be overridden? It seems like this could be done using Jekyll's Page/includes system in a way that would be pretty tidy, and I have really benefitted from being able to do this in other plugins like Jekyll scholar.

Curious if the maintainers would be interested in a PR like that, or otherwise interested in a PR that allows for multiple authors on a single post? happy to give a more detailed pitch if needed.
