    Hi @imDarshanGK,

I'd like to work on this issue under GSSoC'26.

I’ll first trace the current cache service flow and identify the places where the same logic is being repeated across cache operations. The goal would be to reduce that duplication without changing the existing cache behavior or response flow.

    My approach:

    • Review the existing cache service and its callers to identify genuinely shared logic.
    • Extract the common behavior into small reusable helpers/functions while keeping responsibilities clear.
    • Update the affected cache operations to use the shared implementation instead of maintaining separate copies.
    • Preserve existing handling for cache hits, misses, invalid/expired entries, and error cases.
    • Add focused tests around the refactored paths to verify that the behavior remains unchanged.
    • Run the relevant existing test suite to catch any regression in the cache-related functionality.

I’ll keep the changes limited to the shared cache logic and avoid unnecessary changes to unrelated services.

If the issue is still available, could you please assign it to me? I’m ready to start by tracing the existing implementation and preparing the refactor.
