Description

Migrate deCONZ from deconz/ to home-assistant/app-deconz. Keep an app stub in home-assistant/apps, maintained by repository-updater.

Migration checklist

  • Run the split tooling, review its generated changes, resolve warnings, build all supported architectures, and handle outstanding PRs.

  • Create the PR labels used by Release Drafter: breaking-change, new-feature, enhancement, bugfix, and dependencies. Run from the app repository's checkout:

for label in breaking-change new-feature enhancement bugfix dependencies; do
      gh label create "$label" --force
    done
  • Review and merge the generated development-index registration commit into apps-dev/main. Confirm the generated deploy caller includes repository_edge: apps-dev and uses workflows 0.1.1.

  • Push the app history, main, and original version tag to its standalone repository.

  • Verify development deployment, make new GHCR packages public, check signatures, and confirm the development-index update.

  • Replace the app in home-assistant/apps with an app stub maintained by repository-updater, using the generated migration commit immediately before the first standalone release.

  • Publish a higher version with the list of changes in that version.

  • Verify the stable-index update and test upgrading an existing installation for startup and data preservation.

  • Transfer outstanding issues to the app's new repository.
