Consider specifying minimum supported Windows build number to the installer #1329

Closed

Description

@yukawa

Description

Currently our installer for Windows does not strictly enforce the target machine to be Windows 10 or higher.

We should be able to specify the minimum supported build number to the installer.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Try to build Mozc64.msi with a certain minimum supported Windows build number, say 26100 as Windows 11 24H2.
  2. Try to install Mozc64.msi into an earlier version of Windows, say Windows 11 23H2.

Expected behavior

The installation will fail with a clear message.

Actual behavior

Currently there is no way to specify the minimum supported Windows build number.
