For slow commands, e.g. rebase a large repo, there is no visual feedback about the progress, which makes it impossible to distinguish a running client from a stalled one.

Once a slow/async operation starts, I expect at least some kind of feedback that shows me there is progress. Even a small loop between the four UTF8 characters "𜰵𜰶𜰺𜰹" should already be an improvement.

Looking at btop just doesn't cut it.
