github.com/mcp doesn't auto-pull from the official registry, it's curated. publishing there is step one but not enough on its own.

to get listed you request onboarding manually by commenting on github/github-mcp-server discussion #1257 with your server's registry name, endpoint, what tools it exposes, website and source. that's the missing step.
