Agent Merge shows a ready PR as draft and misses check state #4931
The Agent Merge panel can show stale PR readiness data. For an open PR that GitHub reports as ready for review, the panel still displays “Draft must be marked ready for review” and “No checks have run yet,” even though GitHub shows the PR is not a draft and status checks are present.
Steps to reproduce
Open an existing pull request in the GitHub Copilot app and open the Agent Merge panel.
Use a PR that has already been marked ready for review and has status checks in GitHub.
Observe the readiness conditions shown in the panel.
Expected behavior
The panel should refresh the pull request's current draft/readiness and check state from GitHub and not show obsolete blockers.
Actual behavior
On macOS with Copilot app version 1.0.99-2, the panel showed “Draft must be marked ready for review” and “No checks have run yet.” For PR #8 in Semperis/appsec-vuln-metrics, gh pr ready reported it was already ready for review, and GitHub's live PR state reported isDraft: false with checks present.
