Is there an option to create a pull request automatically after pushing a commit to feature branch? #3775

Description

@rishabkaushik

I am very new to git and bitbucket so pardon my limited understanding about this. Learning both at the same time does come with many questions.

Github has extension Github pull requests & Github actions that I believe uses the API endpoints to authenticate and send and create pull requests to github.

I was able to create a pull request using the /api/v3/../pulls endpoint. That works fine. Is there a similar extension that can automatically create pull request once I commit my changes to a feature branch? I am also not sure if there exists a git workflow that can automatically create a pull request.

Please let me know if any additional details are required.

Thanks

    Unfortunately, GitBucket doesn't have such a feature but it may be possible to achieve the same functionality by your own CI script with gitbucket-ci-plugin. Note that this plugin is designed only for internal use cases with trusted members as described in https://github.com/takezoe/gitbucket-ci-plugin?tab=readme-ov-file#cautions. Otherwise, it's better to use external CI tool via WebHook.
