tools/list between 9625957 and 7b6791f: one tool removed, firecrawl_search.limit and categories narrowed — intentional? #524
I diffed the server's tools/list output at two refs, 9625957f3993 (2026-08-08) and 7b6791faae3c (2026-10-09), both started locally. Five differences would fail a caller written against the August schema:
firecrawl_research_search_github is no longer listed.
firecrawl_search.limit: type changed from number to integer.
firecrawl_search.limit: minimum: 1 added.
firecrawl_search.limit: maximum: 100 added.
firecrawl_search.categories[]: the enum value github was removed.
One more change looks non-breaking: sources/items now accepts the previous object form as one branch of an anyOf.
I didn't find these in CHANGELOG.md (the 3.25.0, 3.29.0 and 3.29.1 entries), and I haven't bisected which of the 3.23.7–3.29.1 npm releases carries each one. Two questions:
Were 1 and 5 meant as removals, or did the GitHub source move somewhere else (sources, firecrawl_find_tools)?
Is a call with limit: 150 or limit: 10.0 now rejected by the server, or only by the published schema?
Repro: run the server at each ref, call tools/list, diff the tool names and the inputSchema of firecrawl_search.
